Grace carries you from were you are to were you ought to be and vision can never be fulfilled without grace. For Grace is the linking and catapulting force from your present situation to your place of destiny. Paul speaking in Acts 20:32 says that Grace is able to give you an inheritance amongst the saints, thus without grace and the working of it in your life, your access to your inheritance and place of destiny is unsure.
We understand that the old testament is a shadow, allegory and a parable of things to come in this new dispensation we are now in. Thus as disciples of grace, we shouldn’t shy away from studying the old testament (even as we study it with the understanding of the new testament) because it gives credence to the new testament; revealing concealed truths and sharing stories of prophetic happening that reveal the heart of the father even though it was not yet fully manifested then. The intent of God is revealed in the old testament to be later manifested in time to come in which we is now. Having said that, we see Moses giving credence to Acts 20:32 in the book of Exodus34:9:”And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.”
Grace is the custodian of our inheritance and it brings us to our inheritance. So, receiving and entering into our inheritance any other way, results in frustration. To fulfil our God ordained purpose or vision in life to the maximum would require grace. Even Moses knew this and cried out for it under the old law, how much more should we the children of the perfected Grace of God through Christ press into it by faith. For it is by faith so that it may be by Grace, so that the promise of the inheritance may be sure to you as it was to Abraham, whose descendants we are Rom. 4:16.
Many, establish themselves in their own works Rom.10:3, get dissappointed and in many ways get frustrated out of the way, but the questions are:
1. Are you doing what the Lord would have you do?
2. Are you doing it the way the Lord would have you do it?
3. Are you leaning on and yielding to Grace in getting the work done?
4. Are you allowing grace perfect you?
If your answer to all these questions is “No”, then you have to stop and come to Jesus, lay yourself (your heart)bare before Him and ask for His help and He is ever more than willing to help you out of your path into His plan. David prayed this kind of prayer in Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, O God and know my heart: try me; and know my thoughts: see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting”
I believe this is one of the most powerful verses of scripture because this is the beginning of a 360% transformation in the life of any man. Two days are the most important in the life of any man; (1) the day he gets born again (in welcoming in and giving his life to Christ Jesus) (2) the day He discovers purpose and allows God lead Him in it(truly yieling to Grace, for its manifestation). This two experiences are the begginning of the remaining days of that mans wonder life. Many people relate Psalms 139:23-24 as the prayer of a penitent heart and yes it is but it also goes beyond that, to being a prayer of a heart repositioning(a renewed willingness to follow the Lord whichever way He leads) which begins with faith. The psalmist was not just asking Gkd to seive his wicked heart and act of unbelieving but He was also handing over the baton of his heart leadership to God for perfect direction. so we see that He had just decided to follow God’s leading 100%. Faith in God and in His word; in his plan and purpose for your life, takes you risking yourself on God and in His grace to bring you through to were you ought to be. Hebrews 3:12 expantiates this better for us, to understand what the Lord calls an evil heart “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an, an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God”. So, we can say that a wicked heart is a heart that is void of faith in believing and trusting in God and in word or plan for your life. Thus we see the psalmist calling God to leads Him in the way everlasting because the ways of God are life Psalm16:11 and he had just decided to turn from his own way to Gods. A contrite heart is a broken heart towards God and this is a heart that is surrendered to His will and way for life and living. That heart yields to Grace in full faith, believing that He is able to do what He has promised and bring you through to the place of your inheritance.
You encounter Grace, through faith, you hand over the baton of your lifes vision and success to grace through faith, so the manifestation of Gods will in your life would be by faith so that it might be by grace to you without which you can do nothing.
