Yielding to Grace Prt. 3

The Two Major Dimensions
Being free from sin by faith in Christ, we are to yield ourselves no more to sin but to righteousness because we are not under the law that engenders more to sin but we are under grace that engenders to righteousness and perfection in Christ Jesus. There are two major dimensions in yielding to Grace:
1. Yielding to Grace for the destruction of a sin habit- Grace is the power to conquer sin as it is the gift of righteousness. Dealing with sin is not talking about it or being comfortable with it (according to certain misconception that says being under grace, means being comfortable about your sin) No. Rather dealing with sin means conquering sin by having full revelation of who you are in Christ as against your present reality and operating from your redeemed realm, subdueing the power of sin over your life. e.g if you are addicted to drugs or any other sin, even after your new birth in Christ, get baptized in water with the understanding that the mystery of baptism puts to death your sinful nature. Next, begin to attack this spirit and desire to sin with the word of God and a bold declaration of your identity in Christ because sin no longer has any right over you. This is what Rom. 6:14 means when it says “Sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace”, because grace empowers you against sin.

Don’t be comfortable with the sin neither should you condemn yourself to it, rather partner with Christ to the destruction of this sin. With Christ Jesus, there are no extremities when it comes to walking with Him, He doesnt expect you to walk too much to the left side of the road nor the the right, the middle is the call, the striaght road is the requirement, balance with Him is His requirement. With Jesus, coming up with strict rules by yourself would fail you, and coming up with loose rules of self indulgence would put you in greater danger, by simply following after Jesus and focusing on Jesus would save you. That is why scriptures says in Rom.8:1 that there is now, no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk after the Spirit (i interpret it as the Spirit of Grace, because that is who the Holy Spirit is and what He has being sent to represent in our lifes, Grace) and not after the flesh. The point of balance there, is to follow the leading of the HolySpirit who speaks nothing of Himself but whstsoever Jesus says and does, He reveals it all to us. Thus, Jesus said, in Matt.11:28-30:
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden(ladened by fleshy works, ladened by exhaustive laws,
ladened by sinful addictions, Ladened by diverse opressions), and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you(You are not delivered from the heavy laden to stay idle into more sin, self works,
laws or opression, rather you are set free from the heavy laden to embrace His yoke of balance that is
His matrimony of balance, which requires  us embracing His balance  to sustain the flow),
and learn of me; for i am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for, your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
In studying out the root meaning of the word `Yoke’, you will discover it means a beam of balance which connects a pair of scales. Amongst all other definitions, this meaning stands out to reveal the dynamics of the working of Jesus Christ in us, not just in setting us freee and giving us new law, rather in setting us free and giving us a new beam of balance to life and living by His New law with which to scale things. Thus, when you come to terms with the truth that you are now a new creature in Christ Jesus, behold old things have passed away and all things have become new 2Cor.5:17, you would be totally transformed as the extremities of the flesh would be done away with. Therefore after baptism, you can begin declaring boldly and loudly (for your benefit and that of the devils) that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, no matter what happens from then on, keep His word of balance before your eyes continually (for further study, you can meditate on Psalm1:1-3 & Prov20-22, David and His son had a revelation of the balance in Jesus words and direction and they wrote extensively about it) and you will be transformed into the same image of what you see in Him. Times when you might slip off the beam, repent of the sin in the name of Jesus ” for He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” any time you fall 1Jhn.1:9. But all through the process, continue and keep declaring your place in Christ Jesus, not out of hypocricy nor self deception, but out of determination and sincerity of heart before God for your manifested liberty over that sin. Keep declaring it continuously, in and out of season because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus by faith and not by law Rom3:21-27, therefore if you can focus on the gift of righteousness given you by Jesus you would be greatly empowered over sin and the greater one in you would rise up within you against that sin, quenching the thirst for it within you, perfecting His righteousness within you and keeping your heart stayed on God. From then on,the more you focus on Jesus, the more your dominion over sin would be established because laws, strategies and therapies cannot successsfully grant you victories over sin outside of Christ Rom. 3:20 & 28, for these are external forces, but when you hold on to the gift of righteousness and listen more to Jesus and His word you are empowered from within against sin and you are made triumphant against the devil who is the man of sin himelf 2Thess.2:3.
