Have you ever experienced having your thoughts come to pass for good? Maybe you wished or desired for something, or you just said to yourself, “I wish I could have that” and suddenly, (maybe) the next day or in months ahead or maybe in that very instant you got your heart desire fulfilled suddenly. I tell you that is the hand of God, the hand of His goodness running to overtake you and to do you good.
Exodus 34:6 records the Lord testifying of Himself that He is Merciful and Gracious; and amongst many other things, He is abundant in Goodness and Truth. What is the goodness of God? you may ask; it is simply the overwhelming desire and workings of God to treat you right and manifest His favour to you at every turn. God desires that we should live the good life, that is why He sent His son to die on that cross of tremendous trial and agony, so that we can have access and enjoy the good life in the Father, irrespective of Life’s circumstances. Yes, that’s right He said that I have come that You should have Life and Have it more abundantly John10:10. Oh, can’t you see and even hear the depth His love for us and His overwhelming desire to do us “Good”, because He is goodness personified? for the Lord is good and His Mercies endureth forever, thus His goodness takes a better part of Him where we are concerned and I tell you this day that if He has being lied on, to make you think He is a God of wrath, then why not have a re-think right now because all that He is ever waiting to do is to bless you and manifest His blessings on you .
The thing which our Father is ever desiring to see in us is our Trust of Him, our willingness to belive that He truly cares and to live life as He says to. For it is the goodness of God that keeps blessing us even when we did not know Him and it is His goodness that led us to repentance and it is still His goodness that works constantly at manifesting His blessing to us and on us, despite our imperfections. The goodness of God is limitless and the same should be the testimony of our Faith also. Believing in His goodness, being thankful for it and also being open enough to receive it. May you enjoy His Goodness all the year round in Jesus Name.
Remain ever Blessed,
